Hello, my name is Mark Goerdt, I am the Youth Activities Coordinator for the Mesabi East School District. This is a new position here at Mesabi East, and I'm excited to make a positive impact on the Mesabi East District. My job is to oversee the youth activities in the communities of Aurora, Biwabik, Hoyt Lakes, the Town of White, Palo, Lakeland, and Markham. Rec directors have played a major role in these communities in the past, my plan is to pick up where they left off while also bringing new ideas to the table. It is my mission to utilize the existing facilities within these communities as well as the new Sports Complex at the school,  to build our youth programs into the finest programs in the area .  

 

 

Activities and sports have given and taught me so much throughout my life, now it is time for me to give back!
